Brazil’s Phillipi returns to Soulwax’s DEEWEE label with ‘Terra Gira’ EP
São Paulo artist Phillipi has announced a forthcoming EP on Soulwax/2manydjs‘ DEEWEE label, his second release for the imprint.
The Terra Gira EP features three tracks – Hacido, Tensao and Todo Dia – which the Brazilian producer has described as “pure club tracks. I was a DJ before I was a producer, so I love those moments as a DJ when it all goes off.”
‘Terra Gira’ translates as ‘The World Turns’, and Phillipi is hoping to evoke the joy associated with dancing with his new record.
“Every day is a new day,” he explains. “If you had a bad day yesterday, today can be really good. Every day the world is turning. I say this in Todo Dia.
“Every day the world is turning. All the tracks talk to each other. It’s weird but they’re all connected.”
Hacido is due to be released on 16 November, with the full EP landing on DEEWEE on 8 December. You can pre-order it here.
