Athens-based Stelios Vassiloudis supports those affected by wildfires with new release ‘Nothing Will Ever Be The Same’

Athens-based producer Stelios Vassiloudis is donating all proceeds from the release of his new single, Nothing Will Ever Be The Same, to aid those affected by the recent wildfires across Greece.

Released on Bedrock, Nothing Will Ever Be The Same is available on the label’s Beatport and Bandcamp pages, will all proceeds going to the Hellenic Red Cross.

The cause is also being supported by Beatport, who has waived its share of the track’s revenue, as well as Native Instruments, which is donating various tiers of prizes.

Bandcamp users have the opportunity to set their own price for the track, in the form of a donation, with the highest donor winning a Native Instruments Traktor S3 controller and a Bedrock Bunker LED light. Runners-up will receive their choice of either two Traktor X1s, an F1 and a Z1 controller.

“I often hope that this shared crisis we face as a species might spur the much-needed impetus for (many of) us to see things differently,” Vassiloudis said of the initiative.

“To become more appreciative and aware of the world beyond our own selfish and narrow confines. To wonder why this was all happening and how we should do things from now on. Perhaps even to learn to transcend our own interests and strive for the benefits of others, on occasion.”

As well as Bedrock, Vassiloudis has released on Balance, Poker Flat, and Darkroom Dubs in the past, and Nothing Will Ever Be The Same follows on from his remix of Michah Paul Lukasewich’s Canopus in July.
