#MyRecord Bag – Cora M. on the house and minimal records that shape her sound

Caprices Festival, taking place in Gstaad, Switzerland from 13-15 and from 20-22 March, blends electronic beats with an impressive alpine panorama, all taking place around 2,000 metres above sea level.

Among those set to appear at the festival is Cora M., aka Coralie Monnier, a DJ and producer renowned for blending minimal and microhouse with groove-laden undertones.

For this week’s #MyRecordBag, Cora M. shares the house and minimal records that shaped her sound, “spanning late-90s/early-00s influences through to contemporary underground releases,” she says. “These selections also reflect how I play at festivals like Caprices.”

Edward – Vacuum Tube (Label Worx Limited)

“Edward’s music has always carried a raw, emotional tension that I love. Vacuum Tube is stripped-back, hypnotic, and incredibly effective on a proper sound system.”

Nitam – Exiam (Ostgut Ton, 2015)

“Deep, driving and mental. This track represents everything I love about Ostgut Ton-era releases – serious groove, no compromise, pure club functionality.”

Red Axes & Abrão – Caminho De Dreyfus (Rebolledo Remix) (Correspondant, 2022)

“A perfect blend of psychedelic rhythm and narrative flow. Rebolledo brings a trippy, almost cinematic twist that always works in long, late-night sets.”

Elbee Bad & Jade Lacoste – Extase (Goldmin Music – Copper Color Joints)

“Raw house energy with a very physical groove. It’s emotional, sweaty, and timeless – exactly the kind of track that connects generations on the dancefloor.”

Tomhas – Lazar Knows feat. Karla Böhm (The Void Digital Series)

“Hypnotic and sensual, with a strong vocal presence. This one sits perfectly between deep listening and peak-time tension.”

Janeret – Mantrax (Mantrax EP)

“Janeret’s grooves are always subtle yet powerful. Mantrax is all about patience, micro-details, and long transitions – music made for extended sets.”

Hatari & Felipe Acevedo – Noche Sucia (Luc Ringeisen Remix) (33 Records)

“Dark, dirty and playful at the same time. Luc’s remix adds just enough funk and pressure to keep the floor locked in.”

Glitch Molecule – Oscilaciones en la Cima (Cora M Remix) [PUR032]

“In this remix, I focused on tension and movement rather than peak energy — designed for late moments when the crowd is fully connected.

Cora M – Choisir (Beckhäuser Remix) [FRT070]

“Beckhäuser took the original into a deeper, more introspective territory. A track I often play when I want to subtly shift the mood without breaking the flow.”

Janet Jackson – Velvet Rope (Cora M Edit) (Self-released)

“A personal edit and tribute to 90s R&B and its influence on my musical sensitivity — familiar and emotional, but reworked for the club.”
