Idiosyncratic producer Sébastien Tellier has unveiled a new single, Parfum Diamant, ahead of his new album, Kiss The Beast, set for release on 30 January on Because Music.
The release of the single is accompanied by a video of Tellier performing the track at COLORS SHOW in Berlin, which can be found here.
According to the French producer, Parfum Diamant was inspired by “recalling adolescent memories, naive first emotions, lying down gazing at the sky, sharing an ice cream. Capturing the magic of a man and woman united in quest beyond surrounding discord.”
It follows on from the release of earlier singles from Kiss The Beast, including Naïf de Cœur and Thrill of the Night.
Artists involved in the album include Oscar Holter, SebastiAn, Victor Le Masne, and Daniel Stricker, while it also features string arrangements by Owen Pallett, guitar contributions from Nile Rodgers, and guest appearances from Kid Cudi and Slayyyter.
It’s Tellier’s first long-player since Domesticated, released in 2020, although in the years since, he has worked on several film scores and EPs, and various artist collaborations, as well as performing at the opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games in 2024.
In February, Tellier is commencing a tour to support the album, with performances lined up in cities such as Rouen, Geneva, Brussels, London, Berlin, and Paris, with multiple shows already sold out.
