French DJ and producer OXIA has announce that his third studio album, Aelle, will be released on 10 October – his first long player since Tides of Mind, released in 2012.

The 12-track album, which is set to be released on Diversions Music, follows the release of a series of singles earlier this year, including Presence, Colors of Life and Silk & Fur.

“As with my previous albums, I let my creativity run free once again, without setting limits,” OXIA said of the new album. “I wanted to bring together everything I love about electronic music – groove, melodies, emotion, intensity – and blend them with calmer, more reflective tracks”.

The album also features a number of collaborations, with OXIA working with long-time creative partner Nicolas Masseyeff on the track Faces and teaming up with Yannick Baudino on Silk & Fur and On The Trip. Guest vocalists also appear, including Hen Wen on Calling the Sun and Hacène on Silk & Fur.

As a press release for the album puts it, ‘Musically, the record flows through a rich spectrum: melodic, groove-driven tracks (Nuance, Faces), ethereal pieces laced with emotion (Calling the Sun, Saisons), and moments of deep, poignant melancholy (Aerial).’

The album marks 21 years since OXIA’s debut album, 24 Heures, which was released on Goodlife. Domino, arguably his breakthrough track, was released on Kompakt in 2006.
