Lisbon’s Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) is set to host its first open-air music event on 27 September, featuring CamelPhat and MAGA as headline performers.
The event, presented in partnership with LISB-ON, the electronic music organisation behind the Jardim Sonoro festival and Ministerium Club, marks the ninth anniversary of the museum – Lisbon’s equivalent of the Tate Modern.
More artists are set to be announced for the event, which runs from 4pm to 3am at the former power plant, located on the Tagus river.
“We are very proud of this collaboration with MAAT, since it marks the first event produced by our team outside the festival’s usual dates, extending the LISB-ON festival beyond its traditional format and into new moments of the year,” commented Zé Diogo, LISB-ON and Jardim Sonoro director.
Launched in 2014, LISB-ON is an electronic music festival that takes place in Lisbon’s Keil do Amaral Garden.
MAAT, which opened in Belém in 2016, operates across two connected structures: the Central, a restored power plant first built in 1908, and the Gallery, a contemporary building that extends into a riverside garden. More information and tickets can be found here.
