Awakenings has revealed its full programme for this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), along with a new venue, due to the temporary closure of the Gashouder for renovations.
This year’s parties will take place at SugarFactory, a former 19th-century sugar refinery located close to Amsterdam Sloterdijk. Built in 1863, the venue is set to be used for techno events for the first time, with Awakenings set to host seven shows over five days.
The programme kicks off on Wednesday 22 October with Hard Opening Night, featuring 999999999 – debuting a new AV show – Azyr b2b Cloudy, I Hate Models, Fiene, and Novah.
This is followed on Thursday 23 October with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, featuring sets from Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano, Bart Skils & Marco Faraone, Eli Brown, and Linska, as well as Beyer himself.
The following day, Friday 24 October, sees USS presented by Chris Stussy, featuring Paolo Rocco, Locklead, Sally C, Chris Stussy, and Ryan Elliott.
Saturday 25 October will feature two parties, with Spectrum by Joris Voorn taking place during the day. Freddy K & Ogazón open with a vinyl-only set, followed by performances from Rene Wise, Fadi Mohem, Rødhåd, and Voorn himself.
That evening, Indira Paganotto introduces her new ARTCORE show format, with Elli Acula, Lola Cerise & Marhu, and a b2b set from Estella Boersma × SHDW all featuring.
Sunday 26 October is also split into two sessions. Sunday Sessions, taking place during the day, features Emvae, Odymel, Funk Tribu & Øtta, and others, while Sunday night welcomes Exhale by Amelie Lens, joined by AIROD, Kobosil, Nico Moreno, and Koboyo.
Tickets are now on sale, however some events – such as Chris Stussy’s night – have already sold out. More information is available here.
