Greta Levska has unveiled the third single, Initialize, from her upcoming debut album, IBZALIEN, which is set to land on Get Physical later this year.

The single has echoes of 80s synth pop, through the use of a Fairlight CMI synthesiser, used by the likes of Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Stevie Wonder and Devo to create past pop hits.

Commenting on the new single, she said, “I wanted to bring a track packed with energy, bounce, funk and fun to the album, Initialize for me has all of that. Based around the early sound designs and sequences that comes out of the CMI, I really enjoyed manipulating this one to be a dancefloor heater.”

As a press release put it, the single ‘scampers off the mat like a cartoon cat’, and its release is perfectly timed, as ‘ the days get longer, the dancefloor calls out to you and you begin to think about that Mediterranean festival or week in Ibiza’.

Levska has a series of DJ sets lined up at Ibiza locations such as Pikes, Destino, Club Chinois, and Amnesia over the coming months.
