Bloop Groop, the Dublin-based community for synth and electronic musicians, is set to welcome Belgium‘s ALEA(s) collective for a special performance at Flux Gallery this Friday 20 March. Read on for the chance to win tickets.
Renowned for combining live electronic music with visual art, ALEA(s) promises an immersive experience that merges industrial, acid techno, and synth-driven soundscapes with live animation and illustration. The trio comprises illustrator FSTN, musician and synth‑maker Shakmat, and motion‑graphic artist Boris Wilmot.
The event will also feature performances from Dublin‘s TDK and Last Eden.
Founded and led by Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne, Bloop Groop, based in the Digital Hub, in Dublin 8, has quickly become a hub for electronic musicians of all levels in the Irish capital. Since its inception 18 months ago, the community has hosted 16 events, attracting around 700 participants and featuring over 120 short sets.
Its mission is simple yet impactful: provide a safe, inclusive environment for people to experiment with electronic music, try out new gear, and perform live in a supportive setting.
Tickets for the event, which runs from 7pm to 10pm, are priced at €20 for standard entry and €9 for students/unwaged, and can be found here.
