Upclose returns to Spaarnwoude-Park in Amsterdam on 16 and 17 May 2026, and has just announced a stellar lineup for what is now its third edition.
Performances over the two days will include individual DJ sets, live sets and a number of back-to-back appearances, including Ben UFO x Four Tet, Collabs 3000 (Chris Liebing x Speedy J), Alarico x Ben Klock, Ignez x Rødhåd, ROD x Sterac, Freddy K x Marrøn, Len Faki x Quest and many more.
Live performances are scheduled from Colin Benders x Dasha Rush, The Tunegirl, Paranoid London and UFO95, among others, and Luke Slater makes two appearances, under both his Planentary Assault Systems guise, and as part of LSD with Function and Steve Bicknell.
Several performers will use the weekend to showcase alternative beats – Blasha & Allatt will play a house set, and both Freddy K and Rene Wise will appear twice, with second sets that explore lighter rhythms.
There are also an array of artists closely associated with the Amsterdam – and wider Dutch – electronic scene, including Naone, Odymel, Emvae, Moxes, Undivulged Collective, Twiena and Ogazón.
Other performers over the weekend include Ellen Allien, Joris Voorn, Nina Kraviz and countless other established and emerging artists.
As a press release put it, ‘Upclose remains rooted in community. Not only does it give the stage to international trailblazers, it also gathers collectives and key figures from local scenes, creating a balance between broader influences and local authenticity.
‘The festival’s intimate scale keeps everything close and connected. The floor becomes a place where dancers move with full intention and where artists feed directly off that energy. Stage design, a crowd known for its taste and presence and a shared focus on pure club culture define the experience.’
