House legend Louie Vega has announced a forthcoming reworking of Indeep’s classic Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, featuring contributions from Anané and rapper and DJ Tony Touch.
The track, along with an Anané dub version, is set to appear on a forthcoming EP on Nervous Records.
According to a press release, ‘The first remix reworks [Last Night A DJ Saved My Life] into a modern house sound, featuring big drums, on-point vocals, and extra synth flair that ensures it will make a new impact with a classic touch. Anané’s Dub then goes deep with smooth, cosmic chords laid over the supple drums.’
The EP also features a collaboration between Vega and US house collective Funki Cadets on the track In Search Of Peace Of Mind, which again features two versions – Vega’s Shapes Mix and a Louie Vega
Peace Dub.
Louie Vega – Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (w. Anane & Tony Touch) / In Search Of Peace Of Mind (w. Funki Cadets) is released on 14 November in digital formats, and on 28 November on vinyl.
