Following on from a successful Amsterdam Dance Event, Awakenings has announced details of three events spanning the New Year’s celebrations, featuring artists such as Joseph Capriati, Grace Dahl, Lobster, Joris Voorn and Speedy J.
The events take place at SugarFactory in Halfweg, a former sugar refinery dating back to 1863 and located five minutes by train from Sloterdijk, on 30 and 31 December, as well as 1 January. Ticket details can be found here.
The 30 December event, which takes place during the day, will feature East End Dubs, Gordo, Jamback, Joëlla Jackson, and Joseph Capriati performing a special house set.
This will be followed on the evening of 31 December – New Year’s Eve – with a night of techno featuring Grace Dahl & Lobster, Joris Voorn, Megan Leber, Pan-Pot, and Speedy J.
Finally, a daytime event on 1 January will see performances DJ Gigola, Eva Vrijdag, LAMMER, LB aka Labat, Lucky Done Gone & Saidah, and Malugi.
Awakenings has called the SugarFactory home since the Gashouder closed for renovations. Each year, Awakenings events welcome around 300,000 visitors, across two festivals, Awakenings Festival and Upclose, as well as numerous indoor events. Read more here.
