Kölsch has unveiled a new single, All Week, which is the first release from his forthcoming album, KINEMA, set to land in mid October.

The new single, released on his IPSO label, also marks the start of a new phase in Kölsch’s career, as he introduces a live performance concept titled Kölsch and the Machine.

Kölsch and the Machine, which will incorporate tracks from the new album, blended with modular performance and reimagined classics, will officially launch at Amsterdam Dance Event on 23 October, before embarking on a pan-European tour through to the end of the year.

As a press release for the new single puts it, All Week boasts ‘shuffling percussion and crisp snares [that] carve out an addictive, unorthodox groove, while a worldly wind lead slips into focus, smooth yet kinetic in a single breath’.

It will be followed up by a second single, Sad Makes Me Happy, as well as the full KINEMA album release, on 17 October.

Over the years, Kölsch, who was raised in Copenhagen’s Christiania commune, has worked with artists such as Coldplay, Imogen Heap, London Grammar, and Damon Albarn, alongside electronic artists including ARTBAT, Anyma, WhoMadeWho, and Kevin de Vries. He has also partnered on IPSO releases with Michael Mayer, Tiga, and Sasha, while his live performances have included a show at the top of the Eiffel Tower, for Cercle.
