LP Giobbi has released the debut compilation from her label Yes Yes Yes, entitled We Say Yes, Vol. 1.
The seven-track compilation was released on Defected Records on 12 September, and features a combination of established artists and rising stars.
“Our debut label compilation We Say Yes celebrates the original spirit of raving,” LP Giobbi commented. “‘We’ highlights unity and inclusivity on the dance floor while ‘Yes’ emphasises the power of positivity and optimism, connecting to the Yes Yes Yes ethos. We want our label output to contribute towards the community aspect that made the early days of dance music so special. The compilation focuses on showcasing timeless sounds in house and rave music’s history.”
The compilation opens with the track Natura Umana, a collaboration between LP Giobbi and producer Alex Kennon. EMJIE contributes the track Hurt Me No More, while Inda Jani and Ghezz follow with the track Richman. The compilation also includes a remix of LP Giobbi’s track Take My Hand, by Fundido.
Elsewhere, Baby Weight contributes the track Feral, and Disfreq & mOat present a reimagining of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill, entitled Running. The release finishes off with Berlin producer and vocalist JOPLYN’s track Fired Up.
As a press release for the new compilation puts it, ‘With an explorative yet comprehensive mix of electronic artistry all under one roof, the debut edition of We Say Yes succeeds in celebrating the eccentric label’s distinct sonic aesthetic with undeniable dancefloor verve.’
