Iceland will experience a total solar eclipse on 12 August 2026, and artists such as MEDUZA³, Booka Shade, Nightmares on Wax and Zero 7 are set to soundtrack the celestial event at the Iceland Eclipse festival.
Taking place from 12 to 15 August 2026 in in Hellissandur on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the festival will also welcome Emilíana Torrini, GusGus, Daði Freyr, Exos b2b Dave Clarke, John 00 Fleming, and many more, for a unique event that blends science, space, art, music and a stunning location.
As well as a comprehensive music lineup, participants in the festival include experts, innovators, and explorers from NASA, ESA, Space for Humanity, SpaceX, Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic, the UN, Citizen’s Foundation, Eden Foundation, ReWildingIceland, Unify.org, and more. Attendees can also explore remote beaches, volcanic craters, geothermal hot springs and glacial caves.
Iceland will experience two minutes of darkness on 12 August – a cosmic phenomenon that won’t return to the Nordic country until 2196.
