German electronic duo Booka Shade have announced the release of EP Four, the fourth chapter in their revitalised YARUBA project on Blaufield Music.
Having originally launched the YARUBA alias in the mid-2010s, Booka Shade reignited the moniker earlier this year, using it as a space to experiment with darker, more club-focused sonic textures.
The EP features three tracks, Siren, Base Mind, and Supernatural, and was released on 6 August. Siren borrows a notable sample from Simple Minds’ New Gold Dream… which may be familiar to older ravers. 🙂
As a press release for the new release put it, “Where ‘EP Three’ reintroduced fans to slick floor-focused productions that first defined the alias, ‘EP Four’ pushes that vision further, showcasing the pair’s enduring knack for forward-thinking dancefloor innovation with a renewed creative spark.”
