Selador Recordings, headed up by Dave Seaman and Steve Parry, has unveiled the first of three EPs to mark its milestone 200th release.

Selador Recordings, headed up by Dave Seaman and Steve Parry, has unveiled the first of three EPs to mark its milestone 200th release.

The concept of the EP series is simple: twelve tracks drawn from Selador’s catalogue – six each from the founders – reimagined by a handpicked group of remixers.

Selador 200 EP1, released on 1 August, opens with a Hernan Cattaneo and Mercurio remix of Mysko by Steve Parry and Four Candles, followed by a Derun reworking of Dave Seaman’s collaboration with Thomas Gandey, Heavyweight Residue.

The EP also features a Just Her remix of Steve Parry’s Won’t You Believe, and an Audio Junkies rework of Dave Seaman’s Two By Two.

The second EP in the series, featuring remixes from Elif, Stereo Underground, Anido, and Pornbugs, is set for release on 15 August, with the third, featuring Skala, Dilby, Cortona, and Harald Björk, to follow on 29 August.

“It’s quite a strange (but great) feeling reaching out 200th release,” Parry commented on the release. “Time flies when you’re having fun they say, and yes, we’ve been having fun.

“Selador has always been about Dave and me, our musical output, and the music that we love. So it seemed fitting to get sparkly new versions of some of our tracks. We asked our musical friends and artists we love, to tweak, nip and tuck and give our tracks a glazing of their own flavours. The outcome was suitably Selador, with all genres covered and all delivered to make you smile and dance.”
