Under The Drum, a grassroots festival taking place at Breckenhill, in the County Antrim hills, returns for its second year on 8 and 9 August, featuring Junior Brother, Negro Impacto, Fizzy Orange and more.
The lineup also features a strong electronic lineup, with Holly Lester, Cartin and Belfast native Reger all set to appear, while the festival will also feature yoga, an art market, spoken word, an on-site sauna and even falconry displays.
Ahead of the festival, Reger, aka Robbie McCammon, takes part in this week’s #MyRecordBag, with ten tracks that he’d love to hear at Under The Drum, along with other summer festivals taking place this year. Over to you, Reger!
Kerri Chandler – Je T’aime
“Hazy Brazilian-feeling house music from Kerri Chandler, perfect for any sunset party.”
Sami – Sickos
“Dubbed-out house with jazz samples scattered throughout, trippy yet groovy!”
DAPHNI – Sad Piano House
“This one has been an earworm since I saw Hessle Audio in Tengu in October 2022. Immaculately crafted by none other than Mr. Dan Snaith.”
Temperature On Arrival – 36 Degrees
“Warm and fuzzy jazz-infused house music.”
Dannii Minogue – This Is It (Murk Boys Miami Heat Mix)
“I don’t own any other Dannii Minogue records, but this one from Murk is impeccable—it’s a 1993 release, way ahead of its time. Adore everything about this record from the vocals to the baseline.”
Facta – Skyline 4
“New on my ‘Rotation’ playlist, really adore what Facta and Wisdom Teeth are doing at the moment! This one is likely going to be my tune of the summer.”
Virgo – R U Hot Enough?
“OG Trax house. Timeless and smooth piano house.”
Karizma & DJ Spen – 4 The Love
“Arguably House Music in its purest form, sampling Freddie Hubbard and paying homage to Pepe Braddock, but with an undeniable driving groove from Karizma and Spen. Masters of the game.”
Perez Prado – Viva Santana
“70s Cuban Mambo masterclass – a real journey on this one and always sits beautifully with lots of chuggers early on in my sets.”
Cube – Concert Boy
“Classic German pop from 1983, this one has everything you need, easily one of my favourite records of all time.”
