Seoul-born, Paris-based DJ and producer Didi Han has announced the forthcoming release of a new EP, I Dream, which is set to land on 11 June on Roche Musique.
The EP is being preceded by a single, Youth, which was borne out of a ‘hot summer’s day in Paris‘ while walking by the Seine with friends, according to a press release.
“I wanted the song to capture that sense of freedom and energy,” says Didi. “It’s about building an escape, a sonic world you can step into.”
The EP was written over a three-year period following her move from Seoul to Paris, with each track exploring the theme of longing or imagination – tracks include Paper Plane, Youth, Floating in the Sky, I Sing, Drown, and the title track, I Dream.
Having seen early support from Rinse FM, NR, and Divine, Han draws influence from artists such as Four Tet, Jamie xx, and FKA Twigs. She remains resolutely committed to pushing creative boundaries with her music – as she puts it, “Music is full of those moments. I’ve had many, and I’m always chasing the next.”
