Reber‘s recent Intuition EP, initially available as a vinyl release on No Preset Records, has been rolled out across all digital platforms.
The Intuition EP was the first vinyl pressing from No Preset – which previously had specialised in digital releases – driven by the label’s belief that this EP was ‘the right package’ to cross into the wax game.
The label’s decision proved fruitful, with early support from the likes of Chris Stussy – who told Reber in person that he had “played the track loads” – and WLAD, founder of Hedzup Records. In fact, the EP even reached the top of the Deejay.de charts for several days.
Swiss producer Reber found his musical inspiration at a young age through artists such as Queen, Jamiroquai and Stevie Wonder, before getting attuned to electronic music – particularly fidget house and rave culture – during his time at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he was influenced by artists like Switch, Solid Groove, Jesse Rose, and Claude VonStroke. His work also borrows cues from Luciano, Loco Dice, and label and events brand Fuse London, which he calls his “musical home”.
“I always aim to bring a little more richness to the genre,” Reber commented. “My tracks tend to feature multiple synth layers, subtle vocals, and musical breaks that pull the listener out – before the bass and drums drag them right back into the groove.”
A conversation with Chris Stussy at ADE 2024 reignited Reber’s desire to issue the Intuition EP in digital form – and No Preset Records quickly agreed.
Reber’s Intuition EP is available now across all digital platforms. More information is available here.
