Bridges for Music has announced details of the ninth edition of its annual charity cycle, which will take place during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in October 2025.
The event will feature a 230-kilometre bike ride – from London to Amsterdam – to raise funds for educational programmes for underprivileged youth in South Africa.
Over the past years, the initiative has garnered substantial support from notable figures in the dance music world, including Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, and Jamiee, and to date, it has raised more than £350,000, which has been used to build a state-of-the-art music academy in Langa Township, South Africa.
The 2025 cycle will take place in two stages – a 135km journey from London to Harwich, followed by a 95km spin from the Hook of Holland to Amsterdam, arriving just in time for ADE. Participants can select a pace group suited to their skill level—averaging 30km/h, 26km/h, or 22km/h – with support vehicles, expert cycling guides, and professional cyclists, including Team GB Olympians, accompanying the journey.
Commenting on the initiative, former participant Jamie Kemp, director of Toolroom Records, said “Simply put, this is a life-changing experience! I keep saying, I’m not sure there is any other way I want to arrive at ADE. If you are thinking about doing it—just do it! You will be supported every km, mile, and inch of the way.”
Riders who take part will be rewarded with an ADE Pro Pass, ferry travel, guided tour support, meals, an official ADE cycling jersey, and bike return services. More information can be found here.
