Victoria, aka artist Victoria De Angelis, has unveiled a new, Latin-influenced single, Ratata.
The single, which has already received airings at Amsterdam Dance Event and The Warehouse Project, follows on from Victoria’s debut single, Get Up Bitch! (Shake Ya Ass) with Anitta, the queen of Brazilian pop, which came out in August. That single earned support from the likes of VTSS and Peggy Gou.
Fans in São Paulo were treated to an exclusive first listen of the new track as Victoria cruised the city in a vintage car, playing the track for a lucky few, before taking part in a surprise pop-up performance.
Victoria is also known as the bassist for Eurovision-winning rockers Måneskin.
Commenting on the new single, Victoria commented, “I’m really inspired by all the stuff going on in South America right now! I love the crossover between baile and techno, and I had so much fun experimenting with that in Ratata, mixing 4×4 techno kicks with the percussive elements of Rio’s baile funk and Portuguese vocals.
“I have been playing it in all my live sets and it has been going off every time, so i really wanted to release it and share it with everyone!”
Victoria – Ratata is out now and can be downloaded/streamed here.
