Techno artist Joanna Coelho has announced a series of releases during November, covering a variety of genres from psytrance to rawstyle.
The Brazil native, who 909originals had the opportunity to catch up with recently, is about to announce a new European tour, building on her recent appearance in the likes of Spain, Austria, Germany, France and the Czech Republic, as well as Colombia and Argentina.
Earlier this month, she released the Macete EP, featuring both ‘bouncy’ and ‘hard”‘ versions, on her label Raverse Records, following this up with the November 8 release of Make You Move, released via TMinus Records, which merges hard techno and hardgroove across three tracks: Another One, Make You Move and Warrior.
Later this month, she teams up with Paul Clark on the track Bad Bitch, which is set to be released on Sonaxx on 29 November, and features vocals by Coelho herself.
Her releases have already gained support from the likes of Rebekah, 999999999, Shlomo, Dax J and Amelie Lens.
As Coelho told 909originals in her recent interview, ‘hard’ music has long influenced her production, and way of life, “I think it chose me, to be honest. As a teenager/young adult, I used to reach for hard techno, acid techno and other subgenres in order to be able to deal with difficult life issues that went from minor things like a small frustration, to life-wrecking events such a passing of someone you love. Hard music brought me life when actual life seemed too hard to cope with.” Read the full interview here.
