French producer Voltaire has announced the release of a forthcoming new album, Echoes, in 2025, and ahead of this, he has put out a three-track teaser EP on COD3 QR, Laurent Garnier’s label.
The EP, entitled [QR]D.292.VOL1.24, features three tracks, Moment, Dance!, and Connection Lost, which blends electro with tinges of dubstep, house and electronica.
“I love all facets of electronic music and I want to remain open to all influences,” Voltaire commented on the new release. “This approach also allows me to avoid formatting my music.”
It’s not the first time that Voltaire has worked with Laurent Garnier – he remixed the track Tales from the Real World from the techno titan’s latest album, has put out several vinyl and digital released on the label, and featured on event lineups alongside Garnier and other COD3 QR artists.
In terms of his own production story, growing up in a region distanced from the key electronic hubs, Voltaire honed his skills independently. His background in the audiovisual industry as a sound recordist and mixer for cinema and haute couture sharpened his technical abilities, elevating the quality of his productions to a professional level.
