Scissor Sisters’ frontman Jake Shears has teamed up with Shadow Child and Doorly to unveil a new electronic music project – Lovequest.
The trio’s first single under the Lovequest moniker is Happiness, which has just been released on UItra Records, and can be downloaded/streamed here. It also sounds reminiscent of Livin Joy – Dreamer, although that’s not a bad thing in our book. 🙂
Its the first of several singles that Lovequest plans to release in the coming months. The track features Shears’ vocals, Shadow Child‘s beats, and Doorly‘s production, reflecting the trio’s collective vision.
As the frontman of Scissor Sisters, Shears’ vocals are well known from tracks such as I Don’t Feel Like Dancing, Comfortably Numb and Take Your Mama.
According to a press release, the new single “embodies the essence of the trio’s collective vision. It’s a euphoric anthem that not only captivates with its infectious energy but also sets the stage for what promises to be a revolutionary journey through electronic music. With its irresistible hooks and visionary soundscapes, ‘Happiness’ is just the beginning of Lovequest’s bold exploration into uncharted musical territories, leaving listeners eagerly anticipating what’s next from this dynamic trio.”
Lovequest – Happiness is out now via Ultra Music.
