Production duo Dish Dash have kicked off the launch of their record label, IN ACT, with a new single release, Aywa Aywa, a collaboration with Egyptian producer Misty, and Syrian vocalist Ebla.
The release, which translates to ‘Yes, Yes’ in Arabic, is described as boasting ‘flashes of hand drum percussion’ and a ‘seriously weighty, beefy bassline’, and is the latest release for the Saudi pair, who front the MDLBEAST Festival.
Their previous releases have been championed by the likes of Artbat, Magdalena, and CamelPhat, and they’re no looking to push their sound globally both through the launch of IN ACT and brand partnerships with Hublot Middle East and The Giving Movement.
Misty, who has previously collaborated with Alan Dixon and Amr Diab, is known for his blend of house, Italo, and disco.
Both Dish Dash and Misty have a number of tour dates lined up – Dish Dash are fresh off their Jeddah F1 Weekend sets and heading to Riyadh 1001 Festival, Dubai, and Barcelona’s Sónar Festival in June. Misty, meanwhile, has upcoming shows in Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo, Amman, and Gouna, including a performance at Zamna @ The Pyramids.
