Emerging producer Orsay has unveiled a new single on Adriatique’s label, Siamese, entitled Amado, which sees him team up with Maxi Meraki.

Following on from the success of previous release Natura last year, the new single features ‘warm and nostalgic piano lines with groovy instrumentation and analogue synths, creating a genre-bender which marries melodic techno and afro house’, according to a press release.

Commenting on the release, Orsay, who was born in France and boasts Moroccan and Lebanese roots, said, “Amado — ‘loved ones’ in English — is dedicated to the ones who are not here anymore, yet are still so close to our hearts.

“This track is very special to me because I made it a few months after my father passed away. The original vocal on it was a voice message that he left me and that I used as inspiration to create all the melodies and feelings in the track.”

While he admits that the track makes him “very sentimental”, he adds that it is a surefire winner when played live – “it has never failed on the dancefloor”, he notes. The track has already received support from the likes of Rüfüs Du Sol, Whomadewho, and Carlita

A former piano prodigy, Orsay’s venture into electronic music has seen him perform in Paris, London, Madrid, Ibiza and venues around the world in recent years.
