Love Command0, a collaboration between husband and wife combo Fox (ex Fight Like Apes) and Bex, is set to release its debut album, Integration, on 21 June.
Inspired by a relentless passion for Italo disco, New York mutant disco and 1980’s electronic freestyle, it came about after the duo packed up their car with drum machines, synths and their dog and drove from Dublin to Berlin to record the album.
The result is a ‘psychoanalytical musical examination of married life, Jungian psychology and the rebirth of love’, according to a press release.
The album has been preceded by a single, Make It Right, which was released on 7 June.
It has already received plenty of positive feedback, with Ireland’s Hot Press describing the single as a ‘stomping electro floor-filler’, US-based Alchemical Records describing it as ‘almost like a dark version of The B-52’s Love Shack’ if they were more outwardly psychoanalytic,’ and Belgium’s Turn Up The Volume describing it as ‘electro ecstasy that’ll awake all of your limbs and speed up the pace of your bloodstream, all summer long.’
