Tresor teams up with Carhartt WIP on Berlin/Detroit compilation
Tresor Records has partnered with Carhartt Work In Progress (Carhartt WIP), a brand with roots in Detroit, on a forthcoming mini compilation to celebrate the links between the Michigan city and Berlin.
The compilation, 030313, which is released in May, references early 90s compilations like Tresor II – A Techno Alliance, and features artists such as Model 500, Ectomorph, DJ Stingray 313, AMX, JakoJako and Erik Jabari.
Model 500’s contribution is I.D.L.E. a previously unreleased track from the Juan Atkins-led project’s archives, while Ectomorph’s track, Searching, is an extract from their live set at Tresor’s Globus room in 2021, which the duo had to perform on borrowed equipment after a case was lost in transit.
Described as ‘a small compilation with a huge techno heart’, 030313 will be released on 12″ on 23 May. You can pre-order it here.
