A huge THANK YOU to everyone that has supported us at 909originals…!
Last night (25 October), 909originals was named the Best Music Blog at the Blog Awards Ireland 2018, an acknowledgement that means so much to us.
When the blog was founded in July 2017 – on the 40th anniversary of the release of Donna Summer’s I Feel Love – the objective was simple: to try to catalog the origins of the electronic music scene, and shed some light on ‘how we got here’ as an industry.
As time has progressed, we have been able to meet and engage with music industry names both large and small, who continue to urge us ‘keep doing what you’re doing’ – something that’s not always easy when balancing work, life and blog commitments.
Yesterday’s award is confirmation of our efforts to date, and gives us the impetus to keep doing what we’re doing.
With this in mind, 909originals would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone that has liked, commented, or shared one of our posts; has shared ideas with us; has helped arrange interviews, or, indeed, has participated in interviews; has given us pointers or advice on how to continue to develop our site… and, most importantly, those behind the scenes who continue to show patience during those late nights spent trying to finish off a blog post.
Thanks to you all… and the good news is, we’re only getting started!
