Global Underground has released THIRTY, a compilation to mark the label’s 30th anniversary, which features thirty new and exclusive tracks from artists such as Guy J, Spencer Brown, Danny Howells, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada, among others.
The release of the compilation, on 16 October, has been accompanied by a single, Rodriguez Jr.’s Amarillo.
Over the summer, several tracks from the compilation have appeared in Beatport’s charts, with four singles reaching #1, including Guy J’s Rise, Dave Seaman and Quivver’s Starship Disco, Simon Vuarambon’s Stamina and Trilucid and Phil Martyn’s Atlas.
“We are beyond excited to be releasing our THIRTY album to the world, 30 original exclusive tracks from 30 amazing artists – what better way to celebrate three decades in dance,” commented Andy Horsfield, Global Underground founder.
Founded in 1996, Global Underground established a format centred on DJs and electronic music connected to clubbing destinations around the world, through its iconic City Series.
THIRTY is available in several formats. The two-CD edition contains all 30 tracks across two DJ mixes, while the vinyl release includes a three-record coloured heavyweight edition in a gatefold sleeve. A Collector’s Edition contains the 30 unmixed tracks across five 12-inch records, alongside two CDs and additional content. Digital download and streaming versions are also available.
