Legendary Ibiza club Space set to move to Italy

Legendary Ibiza club Space is moving to Italy, with the announcement that it is set to open in the coastal town of Riccione, south of Rimini, in spring of next year.

Space Riccione will comprise four large areas – Arena, Garden, Terrace and Lounge – along with private spaces, and promises to showcase ‘the very best DJs and international artists’.

The opening of Space Riccione was made possible by a joint venture between ECulture, an international equity marketing and entertainment company, and the Cipriani Group, which operates a number of luxury dining establishments.

“We are happy to continue 27 years of Space Ibiza history here in Riccione, an iconic place that represents entertainment,” commented Space owner Pepe Rosello.

“Love for music and mutual respect, the main characteristics of all our events, will also be central to this new experience, which we all believe in so much.”

Space Ibiza, named ‘best club in the world’ on six different occasions, closed its doors in 2016, with a monster set from Carl Cox bringing an end to the club’s more than quarter-century tenure on the island. Check out the set below.
