Let’s face it, January is a bummer, so why not escape the darkness for 90 minutes and enjoy Above & Beyond‘s recent livestream from Piedra del Peñol in Guatape, Colombia, high in the Andes Mountains.
The set, recorded by Cercle, took place on 13 December, in conjunction with ProColumbia and Medellin Travel, and was the French media organisation’s first broadcast from Colombia.
The impressive Piedra del Peñol is a 240 metre-high granite monolith, which itself is around 2,135 metres above sea level – if we wanted to insert a joke about ‘getting high on the music’, now would be the time to do it. 🙂
The trance legends’ broadcast, which featured the live debut of Marsh’s Gautape remix of Above & Beyond’s Believer (recently released on Cercle Records), follows on from previous broadcasts at venues such as the Eiffel Tower, Chambord castle in France, Brussels’ The Atomium, Cappadocia in Turkey, and under the northern lights in Finland.
