Richie Hawtin‘s DE9: Closer To The Edit was one of the seminal mix releases of 2001, and as well as being released on CD, the vinyl edition was an incredible battle tool, featuring 120 single locked grooves containing elements of all the tracks featured therein.
To mark the mix’s 25th anniversary, Dutch artist Merijn Straathof has created an ‘unofficial, interactive tribute’, bringing together all 120 loops – and a built-in MIDI and effects controller – in a dedicated microsite, ‘ready to explore, play and recombine’.
