Robert Hood announces two EPs in quick succession

Robert Hood has unveiled the first of two projects on his M-Plant label this month, with the release of the Art Project EP.

Released on 13 June, the EP features three tracks that were previously available through digital channels – Art Form, Art Class and Art School – and is Hood’s first techno release since 2024’s Alpha Key EP.

Next week, meanwhile, sees the release of the Eternal Life EP on M-Plant, featuring two tracks by his Floorplan project (alongside daughter Lyric Hood) and two solo cuts.

The A-side features Floorplan’s Eternal Life and Eternal Life (Mix 2), while the flip features Robert Hood’s God Flow and The Throne.

As a press release put it, Eternal Life is an ‘essential release that can take you all the way from daytime festival fields through to late night warehouse dance floors on one EP’.

The digital version of the Eternal Life EP is set to land on 20 June, with the vinyl release scheduled for 12 September.

“M-Plant is what I’ve always wanted to hear: the basic stripped down, raw sound,” Hood commented. “Just drums, basslines and funky grooves and only what’s essential. Only what is essential to make people move.

“I started to look at it as a science, the art of making people move their butts, speaking to their heart, mind and soul.  It’s a heart-felt rhythmic techno sound.”
