Dutch DJ and producer BELLA has released the lead single – We’re Good – from her forthcoming We’re Good, All Good EP, set for release next month on Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records.
Featuring a bouncy bassline, wiggly lead synths, and a high-energy vibe, We’re Good follows on from recent releases by the Amsterdam native on labels such as Big Saldo’s Chunkers and Slam City Jams, and remixes on Correspondant and HE.SHE.THEY. She has also performed at festivals like Awakenings, Lost Village and Lowlands, as well as clubs including Berghain/Panoramabar, Robert Johnson and Lux Frágil.
A further single, Was It You?, is set to follow on 4 June, followed by the full EP release on 19 June.
According to BELLA herself, the forthcoming EP saw her explore “all corners of the music I love to listen to and play out, ranging from heavy vocal chops and funky synths to dreamy pianos and everything in between. I tried to make it playful, emotional, and a bit unpredictable at times.”
After seeing Peggy Gou play her track Orchestra Spring at DGTL, BELLA reached out to the Gudu Records boss, and everything fell into place.
As BELLA explains, she had been “sitting on these tracks for a while, searching for a label that truly fits the sound and spirit. […] Gudu felt like the right home from the start: a place where all my different genre explorations can come together naturally.”
