Big Dish Go returns with David Holmes x Ivan Smagghe back-to-back

Dublin club night Big Dish Go has announced an upcoming event at Centre Point on 31 January, which will see two heavyweights go back-to-back all night long – David Holmes and Ivan Smagghe.

Marking its 20th anniversary this year, Big Dish Go has come a long way since its first event in 2005, evolving from its spiritual home of The Underground in Kennedy’s Westland Row to host events at venues such as Twisted Petter, Tripod, Opium and The Button Factory. Over the years, guests have included Luke Vibert, Michael Mayer, Andrew Weatherall, Roman Flugel, Marc Houle, Altern 8, Jerome Hill, Ceephax Acid Crew, Tim Sheridan, Richard Fearless, Audio Bullys and many more.

The two DJs headlining the end-of-January bash need no introduction – David Holmes is a pioneering figure in electronic music, renowned for his groundbreaking productions and collaborations with acts like Primal Scream and Orbital, as well as scoring countless Hollywood films. His is also set to release an eagerly anticipated forthcoming posthumous album with Ireland’s ‘queen of taking no shit’, Sinead O’Connor.

Ivan Smagghe, meanwhile, is a former six-year resident of Big Dish Go, and continues to redefine electronic music’s boundaries, from his most recent DJ project, Dresden with Manfredas, to co-founding the More Dresden Festival, now entering its third year in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Tickets are available via Dice and Resident Advisor. More information can be found here.
