Serbia‘s EXIT Festival has announced the first names for its 25th anniversary edition, which takes place from 10 to 13 July 2025 in Novi Sad.

The festival, which features the theme ‘State of EXIT’, will welcome artists such as Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter, Loreen, Gloryhammer, and an extensive dance lineup, featuring Tiësto, KI/KI, Eric Prydz, and Hurts, not to mention a back-to-back hard techno session from Indira Paganotto and Sara Landry.

As the festival coincides with the 40th anniversary of Live Aid, EXIT will also play host to a special performance from Bob Geldof of The Boomtown Rats, who will remind those present of music’s profound power to unite, inspire, and drive social change.

‘This dynamic fusion of activism and artistry cements EXIT as more than a festival—it’s a catalyst for positive change and cultural unity in Novi Sad and the wider Serbian community,’ a press release for the event put it. ‘EXIT is also proud to showcase a vibrant lineup of local Serbian talent, celebrating and supporting the country’s thriving music scene with electrifying performances that highlight the best of homegrown artistry.’

Boasting more than 1,000 artists across 40 stages each summer, the festival, located in the 17th-century Petrovaradin Fortress, is a previous winner of the Best Major European Festival award, the Innovation Award at the UK Festivals Awards 2022 and Best European (Overseas) Festival at the UK Festivals Awards 2007.

In 2024, EXIT was visited by over 210,000 people from more than 80 countries. Previous artists to play the festival include Pet Shop Boys, Billy Idol, The Cure, The Killers, Guns N’ Roses, Franz Ferdinand, Motörhead, Iggy Pop, David Guetta, Massive Attack, Liam Gallagher, Grace Jones, Fatboy Slim, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy, Migos, Sex Pistols, Kraftwerk, Korn, Moby, Arctic Monkeys, Chemical Brothers, Faith No More, LCD Soundsystem, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Pulp, Jamiroquai, M.I.A., Slayer, Ellie Goulding, Hardwell and Avicii.
