A Different Animal’s Go Hard or Go Home EP has just been released on Undercuts, backed by a remix by Aci Tona.
Support is already coming in from Orbital, James Zabiela, Robosonic, Samuele Scelfo, and more for the EP, which can be purchased here.
A Different Animal is the alias of Irish DJ and producer, Jamie Morris, from Tipperary, whose recent sets include headlining Dublin’s Pawn Shop, running the Get Right house/electronic music night in Pygmalion (featuring Arveene, Calvin James and Ghostboy), playing Sea Sessions, the Wicklow-based BD festivals, Body and Soul, and closing the Dime Store tent at the final Knockanstockan.
A Different Animal shifted focus to music production after an Ableton course and within 12 months released his debut EP, Animalistic, which reached number 1 on the Juno Downloads chart. His new EP, Go Hard or Go Home, blends both new and vintage house and electronic sounds, inspired by his time playing at Backlash, at Wax.
Tracks include Lady’s Lane, The Sting, and Set Me Free, which has been played by Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll. Ten One Records boss Aci Tona also contributes a remix of The Sting.
