Nightmares On Wax unveils new CLUB E.A.S.E. release

Nightmares On Wax has unveiled the latest release in his CLUB E.A.S.E. series, which pays homage to his early clubbing years and features a diverse mix of styles.

The CLUB E.A.S.E. part 2 release includes two tracks, 1More Tune, which is described as blending ‘unconventional percussive elements with a Latin twist’, and Whodunnit, which is said to be ‘cinematic’ in structure. Both tracks can be streamed/downloaded here.

Commenting on the new tracks, Nightmares on Wax, aka producer George Evelyn, said, “1More Tune is a song constructed with my good friend Wolfgang Haffner on drums and literally playing a bag of percussive toys including a bouncy ball, just for laughs. Also my homie from Leeds JD73 is on keys, helping me bring that Latin twist to these beats. Plus young Leeds bassist Alex Beanz weaves in and out of this groove.

“Altogether, it brought me to a space that feels rewarding for the dance floor, hence the name. I’ve been dropping this since the beginning of summer and it’s a joy to see it go down as I envisage.

Whodunnit takes you on a deep and spooky journey, aiming at a futuristic blaxploitation-esq film score. Once again JD73 and Wolfgang Haffner secure that live organic feel, with that true N.O.W cinematic signature. The almost offensive sub bass is for the true dance floor groovers.”

To coincide with the release, which went live on 7 September, Nightmares On Wax is kicking off a CLUB E.A.S.E tour at Borderlands Festival in Carlisle this weekend, before hitting various locations in the UK, Canada, the US, Germany and Italy. This will include a ‘takeover event’ at HERE Outernet in London on 4 November. He has also just released a new merch range, details of which can be found here.
