As we reported earlier in the summer, this year marks two decades since Human Traffic, the movie that is arguably the benchmark setter for all clubbing films (although recent flicks such as Beats and Dublin Oldschool are also worthy contenders).
Back in April, the film’s director, Justin Kerrigan, confirmed that a sequel is forthcoming, with a gang of familiar faces (including perennial ‘geezer’ Danny Dyer) returning for a fable about “one race, the human race, and a reaction to Brexit”.
Since then, news has been sketchy, until last Thursday that is, when the iconic line ‘NICE ONE, BRUVVA!’ Was projected onto various locations across Ibiza, including Salt Mountain at Salinas, Dalt Villa, and Hanger 8289, as the Ibiza clubbing season came to a close.
Further to this, we’re learned that an announcement is due on 31 October relating to something called ‘Human Traffic Live’, which we presume is either the title of the planned new movie… or perhaps a Cirque du Soleil-style live spectacular set in a suburban gaff party?
Any excuse to get reacquainted with Jip, Koop, Lulu, Nina, Moff and co is all right by us.
All will be revealed at the end of the month. Nice one, bruvva!
