ROUND 1, MATCH 12. Gala – ‘Freed From Desire’ vs Leila K – ‘Open Sesame’

The Eurodance 2021 contest continues with two 90s classics going head to head, as Gala’s Freed From Desire goes up against Leila K’s Open Sesame.

There are those that believe Gala’s 1996 smash Freed From Desire might go all the way in the competition, and with good reason – having stormed the charts on its release, it has recently taken on a second life as a football anthem. Open Sesame, meanwhile, from Swedish artist Leila K, is a ragga-house anthem, with “more energy than Linford Christie after a Lucozade binge”, as Smash Hits commented at the time of its release. But which is your favourite?

You can listen to both tracks below, and cast your vote – remember the poll closes in 24 hours, so get voting, and get sharing. More information on the competition, as well as the match schedule, can be found here.

Let’s get ready to rumble… 🙂 #eurodance2021
