Boys Noize is set to release his first solo album in five years, with 7LLVSION set to land on 6 November on his Ones And Zeroes imprint.
The album follows a busy period for Boys Noize, aka Alex Ridha, which has seen him perform with Nine Inch Nails, including developing the Nine Inch Noize collaboration, and co-producing the Tron:Ares soundtrack.
7LLVSION marks a return to his solo work, with Dutch artist and multi-instrumentalist ZEP featuring on the first single from the project, 1+1+1, which features an ‘intimidating, key-shifting EBM bassline over a hyperactive new wave backbeat, a sound both positively fresh and decidedly analogue’, according to a press release. Check it out here.
Aside from working with ZEP, the new album also features collaborations with Brutalismus 3000, Taichu, Maya Alkhattari and Abra, among others.
Over the years, Ridha has worked with artists such as A$AP Rocky, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Arca, Lady Gaga and Brutalismus 3000, as well as co-founding Octave Minds with Chilly Gonzales and producing and performing with Skrillex as Dog Blood.
Boys Noize will also tour following the album announcement, with dates across Europe, North America, Mexico, China and Australia already announced. Alongside his music, Ridha continues to operate both Boysnoize Records and Ones And Zeroes.
