Paris-based collective Acid Arab have released their fourth studio album, Resonance, on the All Night Long imprint.
The 16-track album features contributions from a wide range of musicians including Ghita Lahmamassi, Sofiane Saidi, Yasmine Hamdan, Wael Alkak, Ghizlane Melih, Cheba Ibtissem and Zeina Aftimos. Aftimos appears on focus track Ma7boubi, which is also out now.
Commenting on the album, Acid Arab said, “In physics, resonance occurs when different vibrations amplify one another through a shared frequency. [The] Resonance LP was born from that same idea: bringing together electronic, traditional, and popular musical heritages, allowing them to interact, respond, and grow stronger through their encounter.
“Through this dialogue and through the contributions of our guest artists, we sought to create a shared musical territory: the sound of Acid Arab.”
Acid Arab has built its reputation through collaborations that connect electronic production with musical traditions from North Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, a trend that continues on their latest release.
It follows on from the acclaimed album Trois (٣), which combined influences such as Algerian gasba music, Anatolian sounds and bionic raï.
Alongside the album release, Acid Arab is undertaking a European tour, which includes performances in France, Spain, Italy, Romania, Belgium, Bulgaria and Lebanon. Upcoming appearances include Barcelona’s Brunch Electronik, Italy’s Jazz:Re:Found Festival, Romania’s Electric Castle Festival and a headline show at the Zénith de Paris in January 2027.
