Deep Forest set for debut Dublin gig on 30 October

There was a period in the 1990s where it seemed impossible to avoid Sweet Lullaby, the breakthrough single from electronica act Deep Forest, such was the uplifting track's universal appeal, and on 30 October, the group lands in Dublin for what is remarkably its first Irish performance.

There was a period in the 1990s where you couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing Sweet Lullaby, the breakthrough single from electronica act Deep Forest, such was the uplifting track’s universal appeal, and on 30 October, the group lands in Dublin for what is remarkably its first Irish performance.

Sweet Lullaby was taken from the self-titled debut album from Deep Forest – founded in 1992 by Éric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez – which reached the UK Top 10 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album in 1994. The group repeated their Grammy success with 1995’s Boheme, which incorporated Hungarian and Romani influences, and also featured While the Earth Sleeps, a collaboration with Peter Gabriel for the Strange Days soundtrack.

Now led solely by Mouquet, Deep Forest has to date has released 13 studio albums, live records, soundtracks, and compilations, with global sales exceeding ten million copies.

Recent releases include Evo Devo, released in 2015, Epic Circuits (2018) with Gaudi, Deep Symphonic (2020), and Crystal Clear (2024) with Olivier Delevingne.

Deep Forest play The Workman’s Club in Dublin on 30 October. Tickets and further information are available here.
