Lawrence Hart is gearing up for the release of his debut album with the release of a new single, Love U Bring, on Domino’s Double Six label.
The release of the single follows on from Closer To You, released last month, and previous singles NoMoreLuv4U, Hear Ur Heartbeat, and Just Belong.
Hart’s forthcoming 12-track album, Come In Out Of The Rain, is released on 4 April on Double Six, and is described as an ’emotional garage record, euphoric and therapeutic’.
Commenting on the album, Hart said, “A big thing for me on this record is balancing the more mechanical and technical side of my music with the heart and euphoria.”
Hart’s musical background includes classical training and a jazz education, having studied trumpet at SUNY Purchase in New York. He has performed at jazz clubs alongside figures such as Bob Mover, but later shifted his focus to electronic music. His production work includes collaborations with George FitzGerald and releases on labels such as Hotflush, Attack Decay Sweet Release, and his own imprint, SSEM.
On the new album, he added, “For a long time, I’d worked on music because I didn’t know how to be in the world. This album is about acceptance and opening myself up. I started the Lawrence Hart moniker as I wanted to make music to bring people together on the dancefloor and build that sense of community and togetherness.”
To mark the album’s release, Hart has announced a live performance at Corsica Studios on 23 April, tickets for which are available here.
Come In Out Of The Rain lands on 4 April, while Love U Bring is released on 18 February, and can be downloaded/streamed here.
