Silicone Soul set to unveil fifth edition of ‘Darkroom Dubs label’ mix series

Silicone Soul are set to unveil a fifth edition of their Darkroom Dubsmix series, which features artists such as Dino Lenny, Justin Robertson’s Deadstock 33s, Middle Sky Boom, Undo and the Glasgow duo themselves.

Available in both mixed and unmixed versions, Darkroom Dubs Vol. V is compiled and mixed by Silicone Soul and is set to land on 10 December on the Darkroom Dubs imprint.

The release will focus on the label’s recent releases, bringing listeners up to speed on the underground sound Silicone Soul have long stood for.

“Our label mix compilation is a project we hold very dearly and a tradition we have continued to keep alive since the first volume back in 2005,” Silicone Soul’s Craig Morrison explained.

“Beyond that, it is a great way to refocus on all the fantastic music that the artists have produced for Darkroom Dubs.”

The release includes both brand new tracks as well as well-trodden staples – Shall Ocin’s remix of Silicone Soul’s most recent track Fahrenheit 625, is among the highlights, as is Fango’s remix of their game-changing hit Right On, Right On, an intriguing take on Bauhaus’ Bela Lugosi’s Dead, by Skinnerbox, and Undo’s Acid Summer.

The mix will feature as part of a creative collaboration with Glasgow-based independent streetwear brand 1 of 100. For more information, visit www.darkroomdubs.com.
