Goldie’s Subjective project announces forthcoming new album

Subjective, aka drum ‘n’ bass legend Goldie and producer James Davidson, have announced details of their forthcoming new album, The Start Of No Regret.

Set to be released on March 25th by Three Six Zero Recordings/Sony Music (you can pre-order/pre-save here), the album weaves its way through drum ‘n’ bass, techno, electronica and soul, to create a soundtrack that would be as suitable for the club as for at-home listening.

It’s also reflective of the duo’s geographical locations over the past 18 months, bouncing ideas between Davidson’s studio in Bournemouth on the south coast and Goldie’s house in Phuket, Thailand – a year and a half spent in very different atmospheres but similar trying circumstances.

“I really love the way that this album time travels through so many poignant aspects of mine and James’ life through rave culture, jungle, drum n bass and indie influences over the last 20 years,” Goldie commented. “I’m super happy with it and I hope that you will be too.”

The second single from the album, which has just been released, is Sunlight, which features jazz-soul vocalist Lady Blackbird.

It follows on from the previous release of Dassai Menace, released with double A-side Fathoms, which was picked up by Virgil Abloh to soundtrack his Louis Vuitton SS22 fashion film Amen Break.

The Start of No Regret will be available on all digital platforms, as well as CD and double vinyl.
