Bilbao BBK Live announces stellar lineup for 2022 edition
LCD Soundsystem, Pet Shop Boys, Peaches, Bicep, Caribou and Moderat are among the names that will be taking to the stage at the next Bilbao BBK Live festival, taking place from 7 to 9 July 2022 in Bilbao, Spain.
After a two-year hiatus, the festival will bring together some of the biggest names in pop, rock, electronic and hip hop for a three-day soiree in the Basque mountains.
The festival will also feature a few stand-out highlights; LCD Soundsystem will play their only European festival date of 2022 at Bilbao BBK Live, while Supergrass will celebrate 25 years of their debut album I Should Coco and Peaches marks 20 years of The Teaches of Peaches.
Elsewhere, Stromae returns to the stage for the first time in eight years, Placebo showcase their new LP, and J Balvin will bring his arsenal of reggaeton hits to proceedings.
From an electronic music perspective; attendees will be well-catered for at the iconic ‘Basoa’ stage, enclosed by trees and seven circular sound tower, with artists such as Bicep, Four Tet, The Blessed Madonna, Carl Craig, Eris Drew, Palms Trax, Helena Hauff, Lena Willikens, John Talabot and many others appearing.
The 15th edition of Bilbao BBK Live will remain an intimate affair – offering guests enough time to savour every moment of the line up in its spectacular natural setting of Kobetamendi – a natural space less than 10 minutes away from the centre of Bilbao with spectacular views of the town.
The festival boasts 12 stages, eight of them located on the premises and four scattered around the city, each with an emphasis and attention on creating a safe and inclusive space where music comes first. Tickets are on sale now.
