Slam announce five-part techno collaboration project, ‘Louder Than Chaos’

Soma Records head honchos Slam have announced a stellar list of collaborators, including Amelie Lens, Rebekah, Hector Oaks, 999999999, Keith Tucker (AKA Optic Nerve), AnD and Perc, for a new five-part collaboration project, Louder Than Chaos.

The project was born out of the lockdown period – as the accompanying press release puts it, “No social gatherings, self-isolation, a sense of panic and bewilderment prevailed. An industry that had become so dependent on human connection and unity, was suddenly switched off and put on pause for an unforeseeable future.”

Louder Than Chaos sees Slam collaborate with various friends, colleagues and contemporaries – many of whom have only been seen at airports or events in the past, but now brought together under a completely different set of circumstances – across five separate releases, on 12″ vinyl and digital.

It features collaborations between Slam & Hector Oaks, Slam & 999999999, Slam & Keith Tucker (AKA Optic Nerve), Slam & Amelie Lens, Slam & Rebekah, Slam & AnD, and Slam & Perc.

Having heard the first release, we can confirm – yes, it is exactly what you might expect from the Scottish techno titans.

Each EP features specially commissioned artwork from German based artist PPP Panic, which consolidates into one constructive piece over the five releases.
